TESTIMONY
AND ATTESTATION OF THE WITNESSES
OF THE PHENOMENON OF THE
EUCHARIST CHANGING INTO FLESH AND BLOOD
Seven persons (six from Naju,
Korea, and one from Germany) visited His Excellency Archbishop Giovanni
Bulaitis at his residence in Rome at about 9:30 a.m. on February 28,
2010. The visitors were Fr. Aloysius Chang, Julia Kim, Peter Kim, Angela
Yoon, Albino Kim, and Peter Suh from Korea and Cäcilia Min-Ja Pohl from
Germany. They briefly conversed with His Excellency and, from 10 a.m.,
participated in the Mass concelebrated by His Excellency and Fr. Aloysius
Chang. In addition to the visitors, there were four Sisters at the Mass
who serve in the official facilities where Archbishop Bulaitis resides.
At the time of Communion,
His Excellency first gave the Sacred Host and the Precious Blood to
Julia. Others received Communion also. While they were meditating, Julia
signaled to Peter Kim to come closer and look. Peter saw the Eucharist in
Julia’s mouth permeated with bright red blood and saw the Eucharist in the
process of changing into flesh and blood. Peter immediately reported this
to Archbishop Bulaitis. His Excellency and Fr. Chang witnessed the
phenomenon, and the rest of the participants in the Mass also saw it.
The Eucharist permeated with
blood grew larger and larger and pulsated like a live heart. As the
Eucharist continued moving, it appeared as though Julia’s tongue was also
moving with the Eucharist. The Eucharist continued to grow larger like
rising dough. Then, suddenly, from the bottom side of the Eucharist, some
blood of the dark red color flowed out. By that time, the Eucharist
appeared to be thicker than Julia’s tongue. The four Sisters who had
returned to their pews came back to see the dark color blood and the
larger Eucharist.
After everyone witnessed the
phenomenon and photos and videos were taken, Archbishop Bulaitis
instructed Julia to swallow the Eucharist. Julia obeyed. After the Mass
ended, His Excellency gave the water in the ciborium to Julia and asked
her to drink it. Then, he asked Julia to open her mouth and, together
with the Sisters, examined if there were any wounds inside Julia’s mouth.
After a thorough visual examination of the inside of Julia’s mouth, His
Excellency meticulously wiped every corner in Julia’s mouth with the linen
purificator, but there was no stain of blood on the purificator.
We, the witnesses, profess
our firm opinion and belief that this amazing occurrence that we observed
today was truly a Eucharistic miracle that the Lord and the Blessed Mother
gave us through Julia Kim and, hereby, add our signatures below as an
attestation of our belief.

A REFLECTION ON THE MEANING
OF THE EUCHARISTIC PHENOMENON IN THE CHAPEL AT ARCHBISHOP GIOVANNI
BULAITIS’ RESIDENCE IN ROME
The
miraculous descent of the Eucharist in Naju during Archbishop Giovanni
Bulaitis’ visit to the Chapel in Naju on November 24, 1994 was the first
Eucharistic miracle that involved the descent of the Eucharist from above,
and was given to His Excellency through Julia Kim. At that time, His
Excellency was the Apostolic Nuncio to Korea. The Eucharist that came
down on November 24, 1994 had already been broken into two halves before
the Eucharist landed on Julia’s hands. Julia gave one half of the
Eucharist that had the image of “A” (alpha) to Fr. Raymond Spies, Julia’s
spiritual director at that time, and gave the other half with the image of
“Ω” (omega) to Archbishop Bulaitis. Archbishop Bulaitis gave Communion to
about 70 people including several priests present in the chapel at that
time by breaking the Eucharist into small pieces. Some remaining pieces
of the Eucharist have been preserved.
This
time, the miracle of the Eucharist changing into visible flesh and blood
in Julia Kim’s mouth occurred during the Mass on February 28, 2010, the
Second Sunday of Lent, in the chapel at the official residence of
Archbishop Bulaitis located close to St. Peter’s Basilica and the Holy
Father’s residence in Vatican City. The Mass was concelebrated by
Archbishop Giovanni Bulaitis and Fr. Aloysius Chang and attended by four
Sisters and six other visitors from Korea and Germany.
Julia was also told by the
Blessed Mother that this would be the last Eucharistic miracle in
association with her. The first miraculous descent of the Eucharist
occurred during Archbishop Bualitis’ visit to Naju, and, now, the last
Eucharistic miracle occurred through Archbishop Bulaitis. The total
number of the Eucharistic miracles in Naju and other places through Julia
Kim so far is 33, which is the number of years of Our Lord’s life on
earth. The number of the participants in the Mass where the miracle
occurred was 12, the same as the number of the Apostles. After the Mass,
the visitors went to St. Peter’s Square and offered the Angelus
with the Holy Father and received the Holy Father’s blessing together with
many other pilgrims. The Eucharistic miracle that occurred this time
seems to have a special significance, because it occurred in Vatican City
where the Holy Father resides.
When the visitors asked the
Archbishop if they could make this miracle known, he gave them an
immediate answer. He told them to make this fact of the Eucharistic
miracle known actively after they return to Korea. He also said that they
should let people know that this miracle in Rome was the last Eucharistic
miracle according to the Blessed Mother’s message to Julia.
During the first meeting
with Archbishop Bulaitis on February 27, 2010 after their arrival in Rome
on the previous night, His Excellency said, “I received an answer from
the Blessed Mother two days ago. She said that she gave the Eucharist to
me through Julia on November 24, 1994, but this time I should give the
Eucharist to Julia.” His Excellency asked Julia to come back for the
Mass on the next day (Sunday, February 28, 2010) and she promptly answered
that she would do so.
