On July 3, 2014, His Excellency Archbishop Alexander K. Sample of the Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon, sent us a response to our letter and report to him on June 28, 2014, on the special photograph of Our Lady of Guadalupe. In this letter, Archbishop Sample states his belief that the original image of Our Lady of Guadalupe given to St. Juan Diego in 1531 has been the source of countless graces, and his desire that the special photograph inspire greater faith and devotion to the Most Holy Mother of God. We are grateful to His Excellency for his fatherly encouragement and pray earnestly that his desire for greater faith and devotion to Our Lady may be fulfilled.
